Babies, it's cold outside

So we had a small blizzard the beginning of last week.  C had been begging me to go out and play in it.  I hate being cold...it makes me grumpy and irrational.  Finally after two days of her asking to go play in it, I decided to bundle up with the kids and take them out.  They were so excited as we put our many layers on, but the thrill of it all quickly vanished (for everyone) as we stepped out into the 20 degree weather.  The snow was a little too deep for Jonas to walk in it.
What the?  Why won't my legs move?
Charlie wanted to make a snow angel, but you can tell by the look on her face that it just wasn't as fun as she imagined it'd be.
I ended up pulling out the sled and pulled them around on it for a while.
I, however, was certain that my cold fingers that were pulling the rope were going to fall off any minute.  I pasted a fake smile to my face in hopes that I wouldn't completely dash my children's snow experience.  Luckily, C's nose started running from all the cold and that was the breaking point for her.  I wiped it a few times, but it just wouldn't stop running so she insisted we go inside.  I wasn't very hard to convince! :)

Such a good mommy! Glad its been a little warmer for you recently. I hope there is snow at least for a day or two when we come though!

bwhahaha. You sound just like me. I HATE being out in the cold snow. Greta, however, always prays that it will snow.

I'm with ya. I think snow is the most overrated substance on the planet, and it makes me irrational and grouchy when the sun comes up and it doesn't melt.

I love that the fact that C had a runny nose is what made her decide she was done.
